Magister Högfluit or something came to us looking for assistance in recovering the writings of renowned dwarven engineer Guffen something on the subject of flying machines.
In return, he’ll help drain the mines! So we set up off into the mountains!
Or scout had successfully detected an enemy ahead, warned the group and stealthed back up again, we had engaged them but we where too uncoordinated and in the midst of that melds a hornblower sounded the signal to nearby units, and from further up our intended path a reply was heard…
Even on guard as we where it went too fast for us when the goblins first struck! More than a hundred goblins came down the hill, racing down to us, eager for the headpicking of fresh humans. On our end we knew that a fight would come, but in our plans they where way fewer and we would lay the ambush…, now we where wastly outnumbered and in tactical disadvantage.
Our group pulled back to the closest formation of rocks, there was nowhere to run and we instantly knew it was stand and fight, stand fast or be killed (slaughtered)! The priest took possition in the only choke point to be found while the rest moved to higher ground, the first few arrows loosened came from our side, then that rain of arrows came back at us… Sigmar reached from the heavens and laid a protecting hand on them as goblin wave upon goblin wave poured into them!
In the chaos that followed the humans stood their ground and the goblins where slaughtered, panic came to the green skins as their waaagh left them and their numbers dwindled fast, the humans jumped into the midst of the enemy and took them head on with odds 10:1… Then the goblin chief appeared to guide his troops, only to be targeted by golden arrows of magical metal, his death came quickly and the battle was won. Goblins rooted and panicked as they fled the battlefield, slaughtered by the pursuing humans….
A glorious day for the Empire and Sigmars children!
